August Feature Updates
August 15
As usual, it’s all systems go at Patchworks. Just a couple of weeks after our most recent update… we’ve got even more for you!
Since the launch of our new platform, we’ve continually been making incremental updates to ensure that we’re always providing our clients with the best of the best.
Here’s the latest…
New cache shapes for process flows
Add to cache: Retailers can now place an ‘add to cache’ shape into a process flow, meaning it will store a copy of the payload as it stands at that point in the process flow.
Load from cache: Once you’ve set up add to cache, you can use a ‘load from cache’ shape to reference this payload in the same process flow, or within other process flows (depending on how the add to cache shape is configured).
You can also reference caches in custom scripts, and there’s also a new cache lookup field mapping transform.
New flow variables for process flows
Flow variables provide the ability to define variables at the process flow level, and then reference these values throughout the entire flow.
If flow variables are defined, you can use a special syntax to reference them in any process flow connections where the endpoint is configured to accept a variable.
You can also reference flow variables in custom scripts and you can use the flow variables syntax in a custom string field mapping transform.
New transform functions for field mappings
We’ve added a batch of new transform functions for the map shapes:
